Human Resource Management (f/m/d)Adjunct facultyFor over 40 years, Webster Vienna Private University (WVPU) has provided its students with an internationally competitive, American-style liberal arts education in the heart of Europe. As part of a global network of campuses based in St. Louis, USA, WVPU offers a student-centered education within the framework of a European research university. We offer accredited programs in our Business and Management, International Relations, Media Communications, and Psychology Departments. We are looking for Adjunct faculty in the Business & Management Department in the field of Human Resource Management (f/m/d) Fall Semester 2022 (September - December) The Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for teaching one course at the undergraduate level. This course studies the relationship between management and employees; principles of dealing with the human factor to maximize the individual's fulfillment and the productive efficiency of the firm through sound procurement, development, and utilization of the firm's employees; and labor-management relations. Key responsibilities: Preparation for the course and each class meeting Pedagogical supervision of students' academic progress related to the course Development, proctoring and evaluation of exams (and/or any other form of assessment) Punctual submission of grades by the stipulated deadlines Maintaining digital records of assignments, exams or tools of assessment and transferring them to the Department following the completion of the course Adjunct Faculty members at the undergraduate level shall have at least one of the following: Hold a master's degree or higher in a discipline that is relevant to the content of the course taught or Have tested experience, which must include a master's degree or higher and at least five years of professional experience, in a discipline that is relevant to the content of the course taught. The paid out remuneration is therefore subject to deductions for Austrian social insurance and federal income tax deduction. Courses at WVPU are calculated in ECTS; a 6 ECTS course includes 36 hours of teaching. The applicant must have the legal right to work in Austria.
