We are building the future of open-source observability by being a key contributor to the OpenTelemetry project What you will be working on OpenTelemetry is an open-source project in the CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) that defines an industry standard for vendor neutral processing of telemetry data to help you analyze your software's behavior. It is a collection of tools, APIs, and SDKs to create and collect telemetry data: traces, metrics, and logs. You will be contributing to OpenTelemetry with a focus on OTel Logging and the OTel Colllector. Your role be part of an agile software development team work with a variety of technologies and programming languages represent Dynatrace in various global open-source projects build integrations that connect Dynatrace with different open-source ecosystems bring ideas to the product team to improve interoperability help shaping our open-source contribution process including testing, CI/CD and maintenance QualificationsTechnical education related to Software Engineering (or similar) or equivalent professional experience Solid programming skills in at least two languages and the ability to get new skills as needed - be flexible coding in Go today and in Java tomorrow You are a generalist with knowledge and experience that cover requirements engineering, software architecture and implementation Eager to work with open-source communities, to discuss your work on GitHub and to attend community meetings Experience in developing software using Git and GitHub Hands-on team player and a proactive, independent person of action Additional InformationWhy join Dynatrace We are the #1 Tech Employer in Austria (2021 ranking by trend magazine, Statista & kununu). See how we support you. Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is EUR 39,200 gross per year based on full-time employment (38,5 hours/week). We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience. In addition, if you are not living in the country you are applying for, we offer you a relocation allowance, support with your visa, work permit, accommodation, language courses, and a dedicated buddy program.
