TasksFull life-cycle recruiting: Be part of a founder-run scale-up that carefully selects its new hires based on a detailed assessment of their skills, mentality, personality, and fit to Kaleido's (and Canva's) company culture. Ownership: You'll get to lead the recruiting process from start to finish: sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent. For both engineering (incl. ML/Visual AI) and non-engineering positions. Sourcing: You'll be responsible for developing and performing sourcing strategies that deliver the strongest results and make sure we're bringing top talent into the teams. Diversity strategies: We're super proud of the diversity in our team. You'll continue to collaborate with the team to build and execute diversity and inclusion plans for hiring. Hire the best: Your focus will be on hiring quality candidates with agility and speed. We regularly do global searches to find the best talent for Kaleido and Canva. Partner with hiring managers: You will work closely with hiring managers (at Kaleido and also Canva) to gain a deeper understanding of how each role fits into Kaleido and Canva. Obsessed about candidate experience: At Kaleido, we care deeply about our People. This begins at the first touch-point with our applicants. You are well-spoken on the phone and articulate over emails. You can effectively share the Kaleido and Canva story, vision, and culture as a brand ambassador. Data-driven: You are always trying to improve our hiring process and you will think with a data-first approach. You know your TA KPIs and know how to measure them. What's your hypothesis: Why could the median Time Hire be possibly significantly lower than the average Time to hire? Requirements2+ years of TA experience in a fast-paced recruitment role and a successful track record of hiring top engineering and non-engineering talent, ideally in a (tech) startup or scaleup environment. Ideally, you have finished a university degree, may it be People/HR related, economics, psychology, or even technical studies (e.g. computer science). You know that C# ain't Instagram hashtag and that Javascript is not an ancient scroll found on an island. Ideally, you learned to write code and used to work in a product/scrum team before. You value diversity and take pride in building a team that brings together a diversity of thoughts, perspectives, and expressions. You're an independent, adaptable, and highly motivated Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Manager. In other words:You simply love what you do. You're able to get into the details quickly and deliver quality results on time. You're a wearer of many hats and can juggle multiple priorities at the same time. (e.g. you ideally have experience in hiring for several brands at the same time and deliver a great candidate experience, as you have a deep understanding of the business side as well). You're creative and know that job adverts and LinkedIn are not the only channels of headhunting candidates. You love to research and understand that the art of sourcing is always evolving. You get stuck into various platforms, technology tools, social networks, and databases to uncover the best talent in the world. Tact, diplomacy, and professionalism are core to your identity when you deal with various sensitive situations across the role. You speak English as well as the "tech startup" slang fluently, German at least conversational, and you have a valid working permit for the EU.
