Application Architect - Azure Modernization (m/f/d)About you. RHI Magnesita is currently seeking an Application Architect that can provide a technical knowledge and experience to modernize and develop our custom solutions for our internal team. This is a senior-level role where you will have the opportunity to design and implement Microsoft Azure cloud solutions and technologies. In addition, you have: BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline Excellent technical architecture skills, enabling the creation of future-proof, complex global solutions using Azure PaaS services Hands on experience on Azure App Service Model, Azure storage, Azure API Management and experience in Microservice development on Azure using Container Service and Kubernetes Experience with DevOps architecture & design for CI/CD pipelines and zero downtime deployment Provide technical architecture leadership and direction on projects resulting in scalable, reliable, and maintainable platforms Able to translate architecture designs in a technology specific solution. Exposure to infrastructure and application security technologies and approaches Good knowledge of Azure IaaS (VMs, VNET, NSG Rules, VPN Gateways and Express Route), Creating, deploying, configuring and scaling applications on Windows Azure PaaS Experience with Azure reference architectures for Integration services, high availability and data platforms Experience with applications and services leveraging .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, AspNet WebApi, RESTful API concepts, Docker and Kubernetes Experience with data storage technologies: Oracle database, SQL Server database and NoSQL databases Knowledge using modern Web UI technologies - Angular JS, HTML5, React, CSS3 & Angular Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal. Any additional language will be considered an asset Desired additional Skills & Experience Microsoft Azure Certifications Consulting experience Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages Software development courses and Certifications Experience with IoT connectivity protocols like AMQP, CoAP, LWM2M and MQTT is an asset. Experience with supporting partners in a software industry setting Azure Cloud Technologies (Azure Data Factory, Apache Kafka, Azure App Services & Functions, Azure Event Hubs & Service Bus, Azure Cognetive Services, Azure Batch & HPC, DevOps, Azure Log Analytics, Containerization) About the job Your tasks will include: Define and implement application architecture for diverse business processes, projects, and function Develop software solutions and strategy to meet the architectural goals and needs of a CCoE consumers Liaise with programmers and software development team to design and implement an architectural system Design the interface between multiple applications, databases, and middleware systems Carry out assessments to identify operational limitations and gaps in functional coverage Upgrade architectural systems and software life cycle to ensure improved processes Proffer recommendations on technical resources and action plans necessary for an efficient architectural system Monitor the performance of architectural systems to ensure fluid interaction between components Conduct tests to ensure an application conforms to fundamental application standards and meets the requirements of the end user Ensure proper documentation of software design and developing processes in order to produce appropriate procedures for application use Design applications according to specific architectural design to improve overall system performance What we bring to the table We are the acknowledged industry leader in innovative technology.
