Java Backend developerBackend Developer LOCATION: Ljubljana, Mobile Unit OVERVIEW As a Backend Developer in Ljubljana Mobile team you will be responsible for developing a modern, fast response cloud based API tapping into our world class sports data and serve it to the various UI platforms. You will have an opportunity to work with senior developers, analysts, dev-ops, and designers across more Sportradar offices. THE CHALLENGE Build backend components that are predictable and understandable in behaviour and logic. Write unit tests to ensure that that predictability doesn't degrade over time. Keep code clean, secure, and up-to-date based on the logs from automated scanners integrated into build process. Take responsibility for your tasks, having a critical eye on the requirements to add real value each step of the process. Help define task scope and estimates. YOUR PROFILE You are proficient in Java with at least 2 years experience. You understand microservice architecture. You can write meaningful tests for your code. You are able to follow git workflows and handle merge conflicts. Knowledge of AWS services is a plus. Knowledge of Kotlin is a plus. Done is better than perfect, but not done is better than messy, unreliable, unpredictable. Also, not tested = not done. You are fluent in English.
