Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) JavaSenior Software Engineer (m/f/d) JavaAre you an experienced Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) Java with interest in the Fin-tech / Banking field? My client is specialized in payment and banking services, you will have the opportunity to be at the helm of exciting international projects and contribute to innovative new solutions. The position is located in Vienna, Austria. You will work closely with the development team in advancing the company's mobile payment service as well as systems and other products. Your Daily Tasks: Design and implementation of new (micro) services and APIs for our mobile apps as well as for 3rd party integration. Following principles of Reactive Systems, and use Kotlin with Quarkus (Reactive) for implementation of new services. Creating foundational layer in our infrastructure to be able to deploy to any cloud provider as our customers wish. Developing features such as offline payments, e-commerce, digital receipts and NFC payments. Skills/knowledge you should have to be successful in this role: Experience as software engineer on technically challenging projects Strong intuition for problem solving and process improvement Ability to clearly and concisely communicate your thought process Deep understanding of approaches to testing Very good knowledge of English Business knowledge of the payment/ banking industry is an advantage Skills in Java or Kotlin. As well as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and relational databases (Postgres), non-relational databases and event streaming platforms (Kafka) Experience with any cloud provider is a bonus Very good Knowledge of English - German is a plus!
