In this role You will:
Maintain and extend the computing, build, and test infrastructure (on prem & cloud) for products built by a heterogeneous team of engineers from all over the world.
Support the development teams when it comes to pipeline or test automation integration.
What You will bring:
Ideally, you're a software developer with in-depth, hands-on knowledge in some programming language like C/C++, Rust, Python, Java, Javascript, Go, or anything like that. You also know how to deal with shell scripts for Linux and Windows.
You also possess the theoretical background of a computer scientist with a focus more on the practical hands-on part.
Familiarity with virtualization technology (console level, KVM preferred) would be beneficial, just like experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred).
Have you ever designed, built, and/or managed a Proxmox/Ceph cluster? Maybe even including the underlying hardware? Not a must but for sure fantastic! It's not a dealbreaker if not.
We're relying on the following technologies, you would get in touch with some or most of them and more:
Proxmox with Ceph for cluster management
terraform and Salt for platform management
Jenkins for managing the CI/CD process
JIRA for covering the process, and
Bitbucket/Gitlab to keep our history (SVN is also still around in some dark corner).
SonarQube for static code analysis
Dependency Track for license and vulnerabilitiy management
Your Profile:
Bachelor's Degree in with basic experience.
Breaks down problems into smaller segments. Documents & explains the process.
Understands and applies decomposition (work breakdown structure) of highly exact specifications. Applies time estimates to development tasks
Expertise and knowledge in writing automation scripts for build and release processes
Good understanding of data structures and algorithms

You display understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer.
You understand how the business solves the problem in specific domain areas using the technology. (Ex: Healthcare domain - EMR Applications)
