What we can do together
By joining us, you will be part of a team of creative people designing and developing key digital features of space systems and experimenting innovative solutions for ground segments.
Our development environment is cloud native and Software as a Service oriented. We work in an agile way, with an entrepreneur’s mindset, and foster excellence in user experience.
You will be embedded in a Squad to develop a first product for an internal startup : the venture Ho Ga Yu (How Green Are You) focused on sustainable finance.
Ho Ga Yu proposes to provide independent environmental assessment of financial assets (Private or Listed companies, real assets, …). The objective is to develop innovative analytics on aggregated data that comes from different sources : satellites images, Green House gas measurements, meteorological, ground and aeronautical sensors associated with financial and geographical data.
Facing the global problem of Greenwashing on ESG assessment, the solution is dedicated to providing highly trustable information build around traceable and explainable measures and scientific sources . A transparent access to real measures and validated sources is a solid way to prove our reliability.
Your responsibilities will include :
Designing and developing state of the art algorithms based on artificial intelligence to extract valuable information from time series of satellite images (Sentinel 2 and high-resolution images)
Preparing a data set for training and test phases
Testing and adjusting algorithms to be robust when new images are used
Connecting your algorithms with the backend part of the application
Working with the two co-leader of the Venture and a squad with competencies of data architect, backend and frontend developers, UX designer.
You will also of course be fully integrated in the whole team of Thales Alenia Space Luxembourg, working with engineers and developers dedicated to other projects, and potentially contributing on other projects.
About You
With an Engineering/Master’s Degree in Data Science or related field, or equivalent degree, you have at least 3 years’ experience in strongly related topics.
You have a strong background in artificial intelligence algorithms and a proven record of accomplishment in the implementation of Machine Learning solution based . You are aware of the last algorithms used in the AI field and especially for satellites images processing.
You master programming skills in languages like Python, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Pandas, Jupyter, Git. You have experience in Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms.
You are a convinced Agilist, and you have already been involved in a squad.
You have a deep understanding of algorithms design and development, from the preparation of the data base to the industrialization of the algorithms.
An earlier experience on satellite images processing is highly recommended.
With a collaborative mindset , you are eager to join a multi-cultural co-creative environment.
You are also highly proficient in spoken and written English, and any other language is welcome.
