We currently have a vacancy for a Software Developer (SDL Trados) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks:
Design and development of components and modules of workflow and language applications as well as elaboration of integration scenarios of different information systems;
Adaptations to existing modules, development and re-factoring of program code;
Analysis of production issues and elaboration of specific solutions (bug fixing) and prototyping;
Technical analysis of change requests combined with provision of studies, assessments, technical guidance and evaluations;
Assistance in testing, evaluation and reporting;
Quality assurance of new modules/developments.
Requirements
University degree in IT combined with minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience;
Hands-on experience in SDL Trados Studio API;
Hands-on experience in SDL Group Share web services API;
Hands-on experience in writing Trados Studio automation middleware;
Proven experience in Systems integration and Architecture, and design of mission-critical IT systems and professional Software Engineering in general;
Proven experience in at least one of the following: Java programming language and in particular experience with Enterprise/JEE and relevant development frameworks, such as Spring/ Spring Boot OR C# programming language and Microsoft .NET development environment, tools and technologies;
Proven experience in JavaScript programming language and, in particular, experience with Node.js, Express.js;
Proven experience in using Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, Postgres SQL, MySQL and/or non-relational database systems (e.g. Mongo DB);
Proven experience in using a Version Management System (e.g. Git, SVN);
Ability to work in both Windows and in Linux environments;
Hands-on experience with scripting (e.g. Perl);
Hands-on experience with Web Application Servers (e.g. Tomcat, Oracle Web logic server) and web services.
Knowledge of Mongo DB and Angular or React would be an asset;
Knowledge of dev-ops tooling (Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo, Nexus) would be an asset;
Knowledge of virtualisation and cloud-related technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, VMWare) would be an asset;
Knowledge of language and translation technology would be an asset;
Excellent command of the English language.
