We're working with an amazing company looking to change the way Medicine & Healthcare work with data to enable & democratize data-driven medicine to turn Data into valuable insights to better manage diseases & illness.
Your role here as the Senior Data Services Engineer will be to work in a brand new team focusing on data availability, cleanliness & overall use for analytics & ML/AI models to be built upon. You'll need to have an exceptional understanding of moving encrypted data through different systems (legacy, microservices, bare metal ETC) & worked with a large amount of mostly SQL databases (specifically MariaDB)
The Role:
– Performing end-to-end delivery of data services, data warehouses, and other projects
– Design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, maintenance, and support of the entire companies data services
– Orchestrate the design of services between multiple teams using patterns and best practices
– Drive and oversee the evaluation of new technologies and design and implement POCs for future services
– Participate in code and design reviews with other members of the team
If your profile looks like this:
– Strong Educational background in computer science/engineering
– 5+ years of experience wihtin Software Engineering/Database Administration
– Experience in Software Design and Architecture for Service-Oriented Architectures and Microservices
– Experience in Java (Spring, Hibernate) and Python
– Excellent knowledge of Big Data tech (Hadoop/Spark) for streaming & batch
– Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (Agile, Continuous Value Delivery, CI/CD, DevOps, NoOps, PaaS, IaaS, LEAN software, Service Oriented Architecture, Cloud architecture)
– Excellent knowledge of cloud architecture, IoT, microservices, SaaS,
This role is based in Boston (with some travel a few times a year to their HQ in Switzerland) but remote working is absolutely fine from EST (+or- 1 hour).
