Your Responsibilities
Accounts make the Meister Suite tick: authentication, authorization, team management, payments and license management all live here. The monolithic Rails application uses a tech stack of MySQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Stimulus/Hotwire/ViewComponents and Kubernetes. As Engineering Manager, you’ll collaborate to pitch new Accounts features: shaping the technical roadmap for risk, reliability, security and scale.

You’ll also collaborate with QA, 3LS and product managers to bring issues to the table, coordinating incident management, follow-up and post mortems if things go wrong. For this role, you’ll need strong management skills – not just hiring, but managing 1:1s and performance reviews to ensure continual development. Up to the challenge? We’re (ac)counting on you.
What Makes You Special
Engineering credentials. You have a BSc in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a similar field.
Solid technical expertise. You are an expert on Ruby on Rails monoliths, with experience using GQL, Kubernetes and the latest Rails frontend stack (Hotwire, StimulusJS, ViewComponents).
Leadership qualities. Your excellent mentoring and coaching skills help you lead by example. Previous leadership experience is a plus!
Talent for management. You can create a strong feedback culture within and across teams.
