Internship in the field of “Knowledge management platforms for climate adaption – Front-end development”
- Center for Digital Safety & Security -
Through participation in national and international projects, we are developing knowledge management platforms for climate adaption to help different user groups figure out how best to address climate changes.
As part of our multidisciplinary team in the research topic Environment & Climate, you will have the chance to try out and improve different algorithms for automating semantic enrichment of data and/or algorithms for searching and matching during your internship.
You might also be able to participate in front-end and back-end development.
In the area of the front-end you will support us in the development of independent HTML5 "single page programs" and implement one or the other required functions.
In the back-end area you can help us to integrate data from other websites into our database.
If you already have a lot of experience in the development area, you can also help us with database design, semantics or the development of new algorithms.
You will gain practical experience with one of the leading research companies in Austria.
You support us in our national and international projects and get exciting insights into our technological environment.
You will have not only the opportunity to discuss your work experiences and results with experienced scientific peers, but also to connect with other bachelor’s, master’s or PhD students.
Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
You study in the fields of mathematics, physics, computer science, electrical engineering or similar
Knowledge in the field of backend, databases, frontend HTML5, or machine-learning models
Knowledge of semantics (ontologies, SPARQL, etc) would be an advantage
You have a high level of commitment and team spirit
You have good knowledge of English in word and writing

What to expect:
Start date: possible as of May 2023
Duration of the internship: between 1 and 6 months; weekly employment at least 38.5 hours
A remuneration of at least EUR 1.168, - gross per month for 38.5 hours per week. In addition to our company benefits, we offer flexible working conditions and work experience in a highly innovative environment.
