Your opportunity
As a Junior Node.js Developer, you will work on feature development and continuous improvement of our leading real-time auction platform. Your focus will be to develop new features and help create highly scalable greenfield digital services.

This role offers you the opportunity to develop your skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Kafka. You will acquire a greater knowledge of distributed computing, event sourcing, and event-driven, microservice architecture, with the support of our friendly and experienced team.

Your area of responsibility
Developing high-performance, horizontally scalable, Node.js middleware and microservices
Writing clean, idiomatic, and well-documented TypeScript and JavaScript
Ensuring excellent code coverage with JEST unit tests
Using suitable software design patterns in an event-driven framework with one-way data flow
Implementing GraphQL and REST API endpoints
What makes you the right candidate?
Technical studies related to Software Engineering
A minimum of 2 years experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development with Node.js
Working experience writing unit tests and participating in code reviews
Working experience writing server-side APIs using GraphQL and REST
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English, no German skills required
Committed, conscientious, eager to learn and push boundaries
Able to work in a self-responsible manner
EU citizen or valid work permit for the EU

Overtime compensation for 5 hours per week included in salary
Salary
Salary range starts at EUR 48,500 gross per year
