Do you enjoy building software solutions with real impact on daily business? We are a small spin-off department, developing and innovating the global digital signage solution established by Red Bull.
As a Full Stack Engineer, you are going to join our internal development team, helping to extend the current digital signage platform on various layers. You’ll work closely together with our existing external vendor and shape internal co-development standards as well as implement new backend & frontend features. You'll be able to work on the product end-to-end, from writing backend / frontend code, integrating with cloud services, deployments, and malfunction analysis on the holistic digital signage solution.

Areas that play to your strengths
All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
BUILD & EXTEND DIGITAL SIGNAGE CORE PLATFORM
You'll help extend the core platform architecture on various layers ensuring the solutions are built in a future proof manner. The corresponding user-facing web application also requires frequent feature changes and updates. In case existing API levels are missing out on functionality, it is easy for you to extend the given service layer accordingly.
SELECT AND INTEGRATE THE RIGHT TOOLS & SERVICES
We are a small start-up and heavily rely on our current external vendor. You´ll help select and evaluate the right tools to guarantee seamless workflows by co-developing software with our given fulfilment partner.
TEAMWORK & COMMUNICATION
Another important aspect of your role will consist of ensuring the close collaboration with our external fulfilment partner and engineers from other disciplines. Skilled in communication, you are aware that the results are highly related to teamwork. You'll act solution oriented and are not shy to ask for help.
PRODUCT INNOVATION
In a start-up like environment, you’ll work together with our users and key stakeholders to create new concepts and product ideas. You’ll follow industry trends and strive to be at the cutting edge when it comes to user experience and application performance.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
Degree in Informatics, Computer Science or similar
3+ years of professional experience as a full stack engineer building applications with Ruby on Rails, Node.js and JavaScript SPAs (ideally ReactJS)
Experience building event driven architectures and microservices (e.g. using XMPP, Openfire, AMQP, MQTT )
Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL Databases (ideally PostgreSQL, MongoDB & Redis)
Experience with Containers and Container Orchestration (ideally Docker & Kubernetes)
Knowledge how to build web-applications end-to-end, including authentication, integrating with databases, deployments, etc.
Experience with running production workloads on major public cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) is of advantage
Experience with building native mobile apps is a plus
Strong interest in modern agile software development principles (code reviews / XP) and an agile mindset
