The Digital Builders Showroom is an immersive space that enables clients to experience disruptive technologies and the power of the cloud firsthand. In our workshops they can co-create technology-driven and highly business-relevant solutions together with BCG & AWS experts. At the end, attendees have a better understanding of disruptive technologies as well as a crystallized perspective of how to fundamentally transform their business.

Join our team as Digital Expert Consultant Software Engineering and work with BCG strategy consultants and - designers, as well as experts from AWS to unlock the power of the Cloud for our clients.
DIGITAL STRATEGY CONSULTANCY AND RESEARCH
As part of our DigitalBCG consulting team, you will work on a variety of technology topics, collaborating closely with other BCG disciplines, particularly with our Design and Architecture teams. You will apply your engineering consulting skills to both strategic technology challenges in client cases and the proactive research of current pain points, prospective trends, opportunities, and novel solutions.
You’ll be supported by an extensive training curriculum (the same programme as all BCG consultants), plus technology-specific training and mentoring to build your skills.
TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE CREATION WITH LEAP FORWARD INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY
You will work with BCG & AWS experts from different domains to conceptualize, design and develop demonstrators to showcase new disruptive technologies. You will contribute ideas for new showcases based on your case experience & research and develop front- & backend applications using a wide range of technologies.

IMMERSIVE WORKSHOP FACILITATION WITH SENIOR LEVEL MANAGEMENT
You will support client workshops with clients across all industries at the Digital Builders Showroom with presentations, content creation & facilitation. Make disruptive technologies and their potential business impact tangible and help client senior level management identify high impact solutions through our proprietary technology-driven co-creation methodology.
What You'll Do
YOUR TASKS
You work as a Digital Expert Consultant on BCG client cases
You contribute to deep technology trend analysis and research of interesting & novel exemplars across industries
You evaluate technical solutions at client side
You design & brainstorms new concepts & solutions with the team
You evaluate the technical feasibility of new concepts and develop MVPs & demonstrators
You explain new technical solutions and their potential impact, lay out strategies and evaluate the implementation effort
You contribute to DigitalBCG thought leadership through presentations and publications
You work across industries reaching from industrial goods, health, finance & insurance to media and consumer business
Our Expert Consulting Track (ECT)
Expertise is of vital importance to BCG and our clients and the ECT is a core pillar of BCG’s strategy. Our clients expect BCG to help tailor solutions to their specific needs, and increasingly expect us to bring deep industry and functional expertise to the table. Our continued investments in knowledge and expertise have been a critically important driver of our success. The growth and development of the ECT cohort is a core component of these investments. The track enables individuals to bring significant value to BCG with relevant operational or technical experience in specific fields, usually gained outside of BCG either in industry, academia or specialised consulting. It also provides expert consultants opportunities to apply and expand their knowledge and experience across markets and functions. A tailored onboarding program supported by relevant leading consultants will enable a successful start at BCG.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
YOUR PROFILE
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
5-10+ years of experience in software development, ideally in digital delivery or technology consulting
Real passion for solving customer frictions through simple and effective software
Strong people skills that contribute to an open and collaborative environment
Knowledge of clean coding practices, including object-oriented and functional programming concepts
Exposure to Agile, Lean and Continuous Delivery approaches, such as Continuous Integration, TDD, Infrastructure as Code etc.
Solid understanding of technologies such as cloud & edge computing, (I)IoT, machine learning, computer vision
Excellent social, writing and verbal communication skills (“can talk tech”) in German and English
