Your Responsibilities
Lead the way. As Director of Engineering, you will lead and scale cross-functional product teams behind our award-winning tools. While keeping the day-to-day running smoothly, you’ll have eyes on the future: your success will be defined by your ability to develop long-term strategies, break them down into roadmaps, and ensure technical action items are completed.

The result we’re looking for? A lasting vision for engineering at Meister. Your secret weapon? Collaboration. Alongside Meister’s Directors, Leadership Team and CTO, you’ll ensure the success of department-wide initiatives. In the process, you will recruit and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers to create the best teams for the best tools.
What Makes You Special
10+ Years’ Experience. You know your stuff when it comes to software engineering for SaaS products at scale (Ruby & Javascript preferred).
Management Credentials. You have 5+ years’ experience leading software engineering teams, at least 2 of which involved managing and developing other managers.
Servant Leadership. You’re a humble and empowering leader who can build strengths and develop weaker traits.
Eye for Talent. You know talent when you see it and can coach even the smartest person in the room.
Data Mindset. You are data driven, leveraging the numbers to achieve engineering-specific KPIs.
Flexibility. You are used to cross-functional teams and hybrid environments.
Proactive Mindset. Your curiosity, resourcefulness and ability to work independently help drive us on.
Language Skills. You have excellent written and spoken English. German and additional languages are a plus.
