Tasks

As a Software Engineer for API integration, you will be responsible to define and extend our data integrations for 3rd party partners and enterprise customers. We are looking for a hands-on engineer who wants to solve real-world problems, provide loosely coupled software and understand how to write reusable code.

What you will do

Integrate our cloud-based product portfolio with enterprise systems and tools.
Work with APIs and our customers' systems throughout the integration process.
Collaborate closely with our software development in finding and implementing these solutions.
Implement efficient and effective data exchange synchronization to remove error-prone manual data entry.
Understand how systems work and translate this into technical requirements on how an integration needs to function.

Our technology stack and tools

We develop in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript
We build upon AWS, Aurora MySQL, and Spring Framework
We also use Slack, Jira, Git, Docker, and CircleCI

Requirements

We are looking for a person with

Hands-on experience in building, integrating, and testing APIs.
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Informatics, or a proven track record in developing non-trivial applications is a strong plus (we value experience higher than degrees).
Proficiency in writing Java code.
Experience with relational databases and REST APIs.
The ability to explain technical concepts in an easy and digestible way to customers and colleagues.
Strong communication skills in English.

That said, we'd be particularly delighted to hire someone with

Experience with ERP (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) integrations.
Experience with E-commerce (Shopify, WoCommerce) integrations.
Additional languages (humane and machine).
