This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate technologist who wants to further their career and make a positive impact on people's lives. Whilst you may have more experience with front-end technologies, you’ll be willing to contribute to whatever is needed and be interested to learn and work across the full platform.We work remotely, so the ability to over-communicate on all channels is really important - the team currently relies heavily on Slack, Linear, and Notion. In practice, most of the teamwork is roughly 9-5 in their local time, but so long as your work is getting done and you can give everyone else the support they need to get their work done, we are very flexible. We try to meet at least once a year in a single location, depending on where you are there may be opportunities to do this more often.About YouWe believe your people skills are as valuable as your programming ones and look for what you can add to our culture rather than fit within it. This helps you collaborate with others, and build software that is flexible and maintainable for future developers.About Our Tech StackWe believe in choosing the most appropriate technology for the problems we’re solving, but our tech stack currently includes Node.js/Typescript and Serverless (AWS Lambda), GraphQL & React, PostgreSQL and Docker.What you'll be doing: Working daily with other development and product team members to move us toward our next goalBreaking down upcoming work into small shippable incrementsWriting clean, readable code to deliver user-facing features, with the right amount of test coverageWorking closely with other team members, e.g. through PR reviews and pairingContinuously evaluating our code, infrastructure, and processes to see if they meet our needs, always looking for ways to improveGiving feedback to Product on roadmap directionEssential Requirements3+ years commercial experience programming in Typescript or Javascript (Typescript is preferred)Good knowledge of React or similar SPA frameworksAttention to detail and a passion for writing clean, readable, properly tested codeExperience in building large, complex Single Page Applications in a scalable and maintainable wayA willingness to learn new thingsCompany BenefitsRemote workingUnlimited holiday policyHome office setupHow to apply?
