RESPONSIBILITIES
As a software architect at Pimcore you will …
define the high-level technical and functional architecture of Pimcore, including its open source and commercial extensions
ensure the software meets all requirements of significant aspects such as quality, performance, resilience, extensibility, scalability and security
provide technical guidance and coaching to your developer colleagues in the design and implementation
develop the most critical components of the system or design a blueprint for a solution
work on improving and extending coding standards and testing solutions
oversee the development progress to ensure consistency by reviewing code and make suggestions about alternatives and best practices
plan and estimate new issues & features together with your colleagues for adequate planning of development sprints and new releases
collaborate with product managers to determine new requirements and features and work on their specifications with attention to the technology stack
be a package owner for several packages and take technical responsibility for these packages including architecture, issue management and priorities
be a team player, work closely with the team and get things done together
become an active member of our open source community
REQUIREMENTS
Master or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related
At least 5-7 years of experience in software development including comprehensive proven experience in software / application design, architecture and quality assurance
Profound knowledge in software development patterns and best practices
The ability to work well in a team with high quality organizational and leadership skills as playing captain
Attention to best practices, quality and detail, and a personal drive to deliver great results
Excellent English skills
A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application).
YOU CAN INSPIRE US WITH
Existing, proven experience as Software Architect or Tech Lead in former positions
Team Lead experience
Working experience with our current technologies (PHP & Symfony Framework, ExtJS, React & Redux, MySQL, Elastic & Redis, Linux, Lamp/Lemp-stacks, Docker & container orchestration, Github)
Attention to best practices, quality and detail, and a personal drive to deliver great results

For this position we offer a starting salary of EUR 70,000 gross/year with the potential to earn more, depending on your qualifications and experience.
