Configuration Manager (f/m/x)
Thales Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of train control technology and traffic management systems (f. ex. European Train Control System (ETCS), Electronic interlockings, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, Field elements).
In this position you are responsible for software maintenance and development for the product build toolchain developed within our system engineering department to ensure a highly available system with hundreds of clients to guarantee a safe and frictionless travel of millions of train passengers.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Definition, implementation and maintenance of the Configuration Management System
Ensure consistency of information in the Configuration Management System
Analysis of requirements and transcription into a Configuration Management Plan, implementation the provisions of the Configuration Management Plan and ensure they are followed
Participation in the phase reviews (PDR, CDR) and in configuration audits (FCA and PCA)
Responsible for the establishment of reference baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL)
Close cooperation with development and operations
YOUR PROFILE
Approx. 3 years experience as a Software Configuration Manager or similar
Technical degree, preferable in Informatics, Electrical Engineering or similar
Advanced knowledge in IBM Rational ClearCase, GIT and other version control systems
Advanced knowledge in Linux/Unix scripting (Bash, Perl)
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
Analytical thinking ability and good observation and communication skills
Fluency in English and a good level of German
Knowledge in rail signaling systems is considered beneficial
WE OFFER
The legal minimum remuneration for this position is 44.660 g.p.a (IT KV). Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification. A significant overpayment is expected and common practice.
