Our client is a digital partner with a base in Europe. They focus on sustainable digital value generation and serve a variety of major and mid-sized businesses, including Amazon, Munich RE, and more than 50 global private equity companies. Due to their high level of selection, they only have 200 employees at the moment, but they are currently in a strong growth period and seeking to add 300 people as soon as feasible. Their specialised team of professionals, which consists only of the best brains, has grown as a result of projects they have landed with global industrial giants.

Senior Data Engineer
What to expect:
Create and install data analytics platforms on cloud infrastructures with intricate data pipelines for our clients. Create, for instance, the infrastructure needed for the best possible data extraction, transformation, and loading from a number of data sources.
Consult with our clients about data strategy and the implementation of analytics use cases in collaboration with our analytics experts.
Improve internal processes by identifying, planning, and putting them into practice. Examples include automating manual operations, improving data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for increased scalability, etc.
Personal Requirements:
A degree in computer science, statistics, informatics, information systems, or a related quantitative subject is preferred
Experience as a data engineer, backend engineer, or someone comparable, preferably 2+ years
Python programming expertise and solid SQL understanding (other pluses include Java, C++, Scala, JavaScript, and Go)
NoSQL knowledge and relational database experience are advantages
Knowledge of the infrastructure and data stack for cloud services (e.g., AWS with EC2, S3, Redshift, EMR, RDS)
Familiarity with tools for managing the data pipeline and the workflow, such as Airflow, Luigi, and Fivetran
An advantage is having knowledge of web frameworks like Django
Developing procedures for managing dependency, workload, dependency management, metadata, and data translation
Dedicated to the development of new tools and best practices that provide you a solid understanding of the frameworks and tools available in the data engineering ecosystem (such as Airflow, Spark, Kafka, OLAP/OLTP/No-SQL, etc.), able to consider system design factors such as data structure, data size, performance, costs, and more KPIs
A history of assisting and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting
