VRVis, a well-known Austrian research institute in the field of Visual Computing, is looking for a skilled and creative mind! We offer an open-ended position for an experienced Software Engineer/Web Developer (f/m/d) who will support the front-end development of Visdom's cloud-based setup. Visdom is VRVis' simulation software solution for visual decision support in climate change adaptation and disaster management.

You will join our Integrated Simulations R&D-team of highly motivated researchers and software engineers who enjoy finding innovative solutions in a constructive and friendly atmosphere.

Your main responsibilities
Front-end development for cloud-based setup of our software solution Visdom
Optimizing our clients’ and end users’ experience

Your background
Avid web developer with sound coding skills in TypeScript and React
Nice to have: experience with Redux, PixiJS, or similar Canvas/WebGL graphic frameworks
Knowledge of map APIs for geospatial visualization would be a plus

Permanent position, preferably full-time, up to 40 hours (negotiable), starting asap

Salary according to collective labor agreement (IT-Kollektivvertrag) starting at EUR 3.200,- gross per month with overpay depending on qualification and previous professional experience
