This role is located within "Industrial Power Services" (IPS), which is the incubator organization for data-driven service offerings within Infineon’s business segment “Industrial Power Control” (IPC). It is reporting to the head of the department “Service Infrastructure Solution” within IPS. The team acts as a startup and its goal is to design, develop and implement IoT infrastructure solutions for data-driven services. This position can either be filled in Munich or Dresden.
In your new role, you will:

Design and develop IoT architectures for cloud-based products and services - from sensors, embedded hardware, edge layer, backend connectivity to cloud
Transfer market and customer requirements to architecture specifications and designs for operational use for IoT products and services (in particular data collection, data processing and handling of data streams, data security), e.g. in predictive analytics/maintenance area
Create concepts and strategies for end-to-end system testing and coordinate system testing with internal and external partners incl. definition and ensurance of quality standards
Lead projects with cross-functional software development teams (cloud & embedded) as well as external partners that support the solution development and service delivery
Coordination of architecture definitions with internal stakeholders
Continuously improve customer experience by optimizing and tailoring IoT solutions to customer needs
Support Service Marketing to synthesize and collect inputs from customer plans, competitor analysis and market trends, contribute to architecture roadmap
You put the customer at the heart of your thoughts and actions, demonstrate excellent communication skills and know how to establish sustainable relationships and networks. As business savvy character and with passion to go beyond existing business, you recognize profitable and strategic business opportunities and take the lead when it is necessary to drive things forward. You are comfortable with new challenges in our fast-changing world without knowing the right path to an eventual solution in advance. With your entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on mentality and creativity, you inspire your team members and colleagues to succeed while never losing sight of pragmatism and the big picture.

You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:

A degree in Information Technology or a related discipline
At least 6 years of relevant working experience as a software developer or data engineer , confident in designing and building powerful data structures, data modeling, real-time data processing as well as data pipeline technologies and cloud software frameworks - using state-of-the-art tools and technologies (e.g. Python, C, linux, FreeRTOS, AWS, Docker etc.)
Experience in the design of communication infrastructures, associated standards and protocols and their physical implementation in IoT devices and backend interfaces
Proven experience in successfully managing agile projects with cross-functional and international teams and respective tools (preferable Confluence and Jira)
Experience working in agile environments or even Start-Ups
Fluent German and English language skills , spoken and written
