Managing Director (f/m/x)Global Business Unit - Animal Health YOUR FUTURE ROLEThe primary purpose of this position is to grow and lead the Global Business Unit (GBU) according to the Group strategy and to create business opportunities by using synergies between the Global Business Units in the regions. Oversee the company's financial performance, investments and other business ventures Ensure that operational and financial goals are achieved for the GBU according to the defined Strategic Business Fields (SBFs) and related budgets Plan cost-effective operations and market development activities Define actions in case of (sales, profit) budget deviations Develop and drive business opportunities in each area of the GBU in alignment with the Group strategy to ensure business growth Ensure synergies and cooperation with other GBUs in order to meet the Group strategy and to create business opportunities Build long term, trusting relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities Define and implement the strategy for the GBU and ensure efficient communication to the executives and associates so that the strategy is being followed Ensure that all legal requirements including health and safety are met in order to reduce business risks and to avoid accidents at work or health risks Ensure compliance with quality, environmental management standards and integrated management systems to avoid business risks Meet the reporting requirements including continuous controlling as defined by the Group Represent the organization to its customers, the financial community and the general public in order to build up and maintain the relationships and to secure the business Ensure Customer Relationship Management (CRM) usage in the regions to create efficiency and transparency Supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance Ensure a positive work environment and performance appraisal, training and professional development activities Reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems Execute public speaking and representational appearances in a professional manner Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth Identify and initiate development activities to prepare the associates for future challenges including trainings to be successful in the business Secure the succession plan for the organization Further develop and enhance company culture JOB REQUIREMENTSPrevious working experience (> 10 years) as Managing Director or similar in the international animal health industry, preferably in vaccines Ideal: University Degree in Veterinary Medicine plus MA in business administration Proven financial acumen and the capacity to evaluate and influence outcomes Hands on experience in developing strategic and business plans In depth knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices Excellent organisational and time management skills Outstanding communication, presentation and (e-)leadership skills Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills Capable of making decisions under pressure in a rapidly changing environment Problem solver able to keep calm and efficient under pressure and in crisis Organizational capabilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks according to need in a calm and dedicated manner.
