At Research Studios Austria Forschungsgesellschaft - RSA FG we work to bring innovations in the field of digital intelligence from Austria's universities to the market. The Research Studio Smart Applications Technologies (SAT) works on Digital Cooperation Ecosystems and Building Information Modelling. For our applied research work we look for a: Researcher and Software Developer - (f/m/d)Full time, Vienna, AustriaWhat you will be doing?The focus of your work will be the development of novel Web-based systems making use of recommendation and matching algorithms, often in cooperation with external partners. In producing radically new applications, we often face high uncertainty and respond to such situations by following a lean process of prototyping and measuring in order to stay flexible and learn fast. Working in an applied science environment, you will also contribute to project proposals and scientific publications and deliver presentations to expert audiences. What we require of you?You have an MSc or comparable (or higher) degree in computer science or a related field. Your passion for software engineering encompasses writing good code, finding the right architecture, satisfying the users of your product and following an adequate process. You have strong practical skills in at least one of these technologies/fields and are eager to learn new skills as needed: Java Node.js React (or another frontend framework such as Svelte, Vue or Angular) DevOps (Kubernetes specifically RKE, Docker, Gitlab CI) Machine Learning Recommender Systems Semantic Web Building Information Modelling (IFC) You are capable of thinking critically, arguing rationally and of making and respecting team decisions. You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable using English, speaking to and writing for a range of professional audiences. You write and speak German or, if not, you are open to learning it.
