Aufgaben

Your playground

general:

development of Software for hotel operations, such as guest requests, repairs, maintenance, shift handovers, complaints management, knowledge management and other tools
working in a scrum team and taking part in daily scrum meeting for progress updates and resolution of potential blockings
reviewing code from the other developers and giving feedback for improvement as well as getting reviews on your own developments
communication with the product team, designers and testers and other developers about ongoing developments and software requirements
regular review and retrospective on the ongoing developments and potential improvements of the development and dev ops process
research and resolution of issues found by internal QA or reported by clients
planning, discussion and estimation of issues and features to be worked on in the next sprint
writing developer documentation and code comments

backend:

development of endpoints, controllers and business logic in PHP using symfony or the internal framework
implementing requests to store, load and update the database (MariaDb) using Doctrine, the internal Framework, or plain SQL
writing migrations to extend and adapt database structures to implement and optimise features
analyzing and optimizing the performance of database requests and Http endpoints
implementing interactions with the APIs and webservices of our partners and other third party software

Qualifikation

Is that you?

grad in the fields of computer science, media informatics, business informatics (or comparable training) or also a career changer with relevant professional experience
min. of 5 years work experience
very good knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS (especially Bootstrap + Material Design) and Javascript with AngularJS (Cordova is an additional plus)
tools / frameworks: Symfony, Git, Angular.js (1.x), Bootstrap, Cordova (Phonegap)
good knowledge of MySQL and object-oriented programming
experience with Unix+Shell helpful
analytical approach, a good “feeling” for design and knowledge of design patterns
very good German and English skills
you are a proactive team player & have a high level of commitment
