To strengthen our business, we are looking for a Solution Architect to take responsibility for the design, integrity and quality of solutions and services delivered to ABB procurement & logistics worldwide. Your role will be to ensure that the developed solutions provide required functionality and meet cost expectations, while contributing to project setup, delivery and to optimizing service operations. You will report to the Motion IS Head of Data & Analytics. The location of this role is open to all ABB Offices and reallocation is not needed.
Your responsibilities
Designing and maintaining technical solutions
Ensuring alignment with other modules and applications
Engaging in requirement engineering to decide which requirements are covered by standard functionalities and for which functionalities enhancements are needed
Reviewing the outcome of work provided by contractors
Giving advice and supporting changes of existing solutions
Maintaining documentation of integrations landscape
Conducting code reviews
Supporting teams with technical solutions and proof of concepts for current and new applications
Your background
Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Design/Development
Hands-on development experience with back-end data technologies (e.g. SQL, ETL tools, Datastage, Snowflake or Data Warehouse development)
Experience with API Gateways, Load Balancer, Azure Cloud Services and Git
Experience with C#/.NET and JavaScript is a plus
Understanding of PowerBI, data visualization tools is an advantage
Knowledge of Design Patterns, S.O.L.I.D principles, DevOps, testing, Unit Tests/Integration Tests
Ability to communicate with different stakeholders on several levels
Fluent English language skills
