Your tasks

For more than 140 years, DB Schenker has relentlessly pushed the limits of the logistics and supply chain management industry. Global IT Land & Digital Solutions as part of the Chief Digital Office develops new customer-centric digital products and business models, jointly with internal business unit partners. We develop and transfer the global digital strategy into day-to-day business decisions and business development activities. We support the implementation of new digital products and provide expertise and solutions for a unified online marketing strategy and webpages. On a methodological level, we develop and implement a standardized approach for digital transformation projects across all business units.
The Solution Architect within the Business Unit "Global IT Land & Digital Solutions" is responsible for the planning of micro service architectures for applications in the cloud and the development of applications and systems that provide the required functionality for IT services. The architecture always exists in a highly heterogeneous environment that includes legacy services, mobile devices and IoT. The task includes the design and communications of architectures for components or systems, development, testing and maintenance of custom software applications as well as the customization of standard software.

Requirements

Your requirements:
Minimum Master's / Diploma degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
Multiple years professional expertise in Java Enterprise development
Professional experience in agile development
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Very good communication skills
Customer and service orientation
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across diverse organizations, groups and functions
Flexible thinker able to operate in a changing environment
Fluent Business English and German (written and spoken)
