Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Quality Manager to join our Retail Software product R&D team. We build class leading software products for our global retail customers helping them to bring instore experience to the next level using Diebold Nixdorf compelling and innovative Point of Sale (POS) software solutions.
This is a disruptive new SaaS solution for the retail space (grocery, specialty retailer, and department stores) based on a cloud-native micro services architecture. We created an API oriented platform that will form the foundation of a new retail ecosystem for our customers with a new approach to the Point of Sale, store solutions, and core backend integration running from the cloud.
This position is responsible for managing quality function for multiple product teams to ensure quality release with a high level of automation while working in a global environment with complex technical interdependencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, implement and adapt continuously quality strategies, plans, transition, and entry-exit criteria.
Provide leadership on QA methodology, requirements/knowledge for all R&D teams, lead test planning and strategy, manage QA, leads and direct reports, track QA activities against PI schedule in complex integrated environments (multi systems, multi device, multi geographies).
Decide appropriate trade-off recommendations between functionality, non-functional requirements, resources and timings.
Own complete R&D quality reporting, set up metrics to measure the quality of the R&D deliverables.
Develop and implement risk mitigation plans. Track utilization of resources.
Drive the standardization and implementation of comprehensive testing tools and procedures.
Assess, plan, and implement possible ways of automated testing for all products, modules, and components across phases of testing, and help to increase the Automation Coverage Year over Year. Act as an advocate for high automation coverage and CI/CD processes.
Support in managing incidents (defects, problems, bugs) and help evolve a Root Cause Analysis-driven culture.
Manage all the necessary governance and processes to design, and validate the test cases, the efforts estimations, planning and potential risks.
Create, publish, and review of testing metrics and dashboards.
Provide official sign-off (test completion reports), before moving to next SDLC cycle.
Ensure that test activities respect internal standards and best practices, integrating and sharing with the other testing communities in the organization.
Plan and manage lab setup for any hardware/device based testing.
Review and improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing practice.
Monitor/Support in hiring of Quality Engineers and Quality Leads
Required Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree and 6+years work experience in a related role.
Overall experience of 9+ years in quality assurance with a minimum of 3 years in an Enterprise or SaaS Product organizations.
3+ years of experience in leading and managing QA teams.
3+ years of hands-on experience in software automation preferably in the design, development and implementation of test plans with associated tools and frameworks.
Already working in an Agile environment.
Proven experience in hiring, developing and growing QA teams.
Collaboration in a geographically distributed multi-cultural environment.
Defining test strategies with high level of automation and an understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes.
Experience in complex system integration testing and automating integration test use case.
QA of web based products with .NET/MS SQL technology stack.
API Testing using SOAPUI, Postman, Swagger or similar.
Database testing and DB upgrade validation.
Testing reliable distributed Microservices based systems is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and learning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, managers, subject matter experts and technical teams.
Experience in industry standard testing tools JIRA, TFS, TestRail or similar
Preferred Qualifications
Has experience working in the retail sector.
Hardware + Software integrations e.g. point of sale (POS) systems is highly desirable.
Experience with Android/iOS testing.
Desirable to have experience with load testing.
Working in Cloud environment – Azure/AWS/GCP is highly desirable.
3,698 Gross minimum monthly salary
