Operating in 40+ countries, offering numerous tax refund services and growing for almost 40 years makes Global Blue’s systems a complex landscape. We –Transaction Monitoring Team – are taking care of reconciling data between the major systems to ensure consistent transactional data. Our system consumes and interprets data of all other systems of Global Blue in order to find inconsistencies and monitor the whole business process end-to-end. Within this team, you will be responsible for development and technical ownership of the central component (“Journal”) where all the transactional data flows together and where business rules are implemented, and progress towards establishing yourself as a Tech Lead for the overall delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be working closely with the Development Lead and become the main party responsible for taking technology and design related decisions for the overall delivery of this delivery stream.
Take a leading role in improvement endeavors and in extending the vision and building a technology roadmap for the main components of the delivery stream
Work closely with the Product Managers, Development Lead, Enterprise Architects, and determine appropriate functionalities and features for the implementation
Host-side development and technical ownership of the core data processing component.
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, conception, design, implementation, testing, release preparation and deployment support.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and background
Degree in Computer Science OR relevant field OR working experience
Min. 5 years of working experience in Desktop and/or Service development
Preferred working experience in a similar Tech Lead position
Strong communication skills in English (fluent both written and spoken)
Strong experience with following technologies:
.NET C# programming language - advanced level
Data layer integration with MS SQL- medium level
Data layer integration with MongoDB - medium level
Message broker integration with RabbitMQ - medium level
NodeJS - medium level
Scripting (Batch/JavaScript) - medium level
Preferred experience in development of intense data processing applications, handling large data sets, working with bulk operations and binary data
Deep understanding of the .NET development ecosystem including tools, frameworks and best practices
Experience in Agile development
Strong understanding of software development practices, debugging, unit/integration testing, behavioral testing, version control (GIT), and ALM tools (JIRA)
Personal competencies
Strong communication skills
Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Team player
Ability to diagnose field issues and come up with solutions to atypical problems
Strong sense of ownership
