Your tasks
You work together with CTO to define the technology strategy
You take responsibility for the entire development cycle - from architecture to implementation, automated testing, performance testing, deployment and maintenance.
You implement and optimize backend services, features, algorithms and APIs.
You’ll work closely with mobile & web engineers.
You optimize solutions to achieve required usability, performance, stability and scalability.
You'll work with PMs and other engineers to define, design, and develop our SaaS platform.
You will guide and advise junior colleagues on software quality, best practices and design patterns.
You participate in Checktur.io's ideation and innovation process to identify the next breakthrough developments.
You promote our engineering culture by constantly updating your knowledge and adapting new technologies.
Your Profile
Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
You have a track record of writing great code that is performant, scalable, and maintainable.
You have a minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java development.
You are an excellent senior programmer in Java, and additional experience in Python or Kotlin are a plus.
You have professional experience with backend frameworks such as Spring or similar.
You are adept at designing, implementing and maintaining scalable and flexible data storage strategies and have previous experience with some leading SQL and NoSQL solutions.
You understand algorithms and their complexity.
You know coding conventions, best practice and design patterns.
You have implemented microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
You are familiar with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS, and building apps with docker containers.
You have experience with automated deployment and monitoring through CI/CD pipeline.
You have practiced agile development methodologies.
NICE TO HAVE
Knowledge of design-thinking methods is a plus.
Experience with mobile or web development are a plus.
Experience with machine learning is a plus.
