Responsibilities:

You will support to build, maintain and operate a valid streaming testing environment for linear and VoD streaming all of Sky’s proposition from a V/A perspective
You will support generating test scenarios (concepts) and the execution thereof
You will document and present the results both in a technical as well as in a business speak, easy to understand
As an outcome, you provide feedback working closely with colleagues from streaming engineering and operations teams to improve the streaming architecture and delivery
You will support introduction of new streaming features and test these end-to-end before deployment in production
You will contribute on migration plans and roll-out procedures based on your experience as a validation specialist
You will support the Media delivery and Platform Monitoring teams in trouble shooting streaming issues through an end-to-end analysis of the operations

Experience and Qualifications:

Basic understanding of the complete video chain from contribution through to delivery
Good understanding of streaming/ OTT (Adaptive bitrate encoding, HLS, MSS, DASH packaging, DRM, CDN delivery) and OTT device landscape
Experience in using analysis tools like wireshark, Charles proxy, Fiddler, Mitmproxy
Capability to trouble shoot and analytical approach to problem solving
General understanding of an IP networks and its components

Nice to have:

Knowledge in script programming would be beneficial e.g. PHP, JS, Shall for applications (knowledge of HTTP based API scripting knowledge would be of benefit)
knowledge in Big data and processing thereof via Elastik search & Kibana
experience with working in an agile test approach
