We are recruiting a ( Senior) Software Developer for our Grid Software Business Unit. This is a unique opportunity to shape the new business field of Digital Twins for electrical grid operators, developing the next generation of grid management software. Siemens is the market leader in grid control and grid simulation. Building on this strong position, we are enhancing our portfolio with new digital offerings of software products and solutions, that connect the OT with the IT world. The role will be part of our NextGen Grid Management team that leads the development of this new innovative portfolio and launches the new software products and solutions into the market. Your responsibilities In your role, you are developing Software that solves our future challenges in Digital Grid Software Applications Centered around a cloud-native and event-driven software architecture, we apply modern technologies like Microservices, Containerization, DevOps principles and many more You are developing central capabilities of our future software products with your agile development team and support your colleagues Next to developing software, you implement automated tests and contribute actively to code reviews You are working closely with other development teams in an international setup Besides functional requirements, you always have non-functional requirements like performance, scaling, cyber-security, and automation, e.g., via CI/CD, on top of your mind Your qualification You successfully graduated in Information Technology discipline or a similar discipline with multiple years hands-on experience as a Software Developer or a similar qualification You have multiple years hands-on work experience developing software products (on-premises, hybrid, and cloud) You have a track record and profound knowledge in agile software development, test-driven development, and technologies such as Microservice development with Java and the Spring Framework and Micro Frontend development with Angular and webpack Module Federation You have designed and documented APIs that comply with the OpenAPI and AsyncAPI specification You love to work in an agile environment / team (SAFe-Framework) and, in addition, you possess a combination of technical acumen coupled with the ability to communicate complex technical elements in a simple, effective manner You work effectively with individuals from multiple cultures and backgrounds and bring fluent English skills in written and spoken form. German knowledge is advantageous Your perspective Depending on the specific qualifications and professional experience, a gross monthly salary of at least EUR 3.102,45 is envisaged (this in any case exceeds the minimum salary under the collective agreement).
