Your tasks:

Develop a strategy to create an architecture that supports fast flow, considering not only the technical and product needs, but also social and team aspects of software development.
Drive further the migration of our PHP monolith towards a loosely coupled microservice based architecture.
Work with Product on initial product ideation to identify technical feasibility and needs from the beginning
Identify the biggest bottlenecks hindering our engineering efficiency and work with engineering leaders to bring technical projects on the global roadmap.
Establish engineering metrics to prove value and impact of planned work.
Drive the Architecture Group.
Work closely with Feature teams, Guilds, DevOps, Security and Data teams and support them in creating their strategy and roadmap aligned with business and organizational needs.
Together with the Agile team drive the organizational development towards a value stream aligned architecture, product & engineering team setup.
Facilitate workshops, create documentation, guidelines, and training material to further drive the development of our engineering excellence.
Promote kununu’s engineering culture in the tech community and be part of meetups, write blog posts and enable others to share their experience.

Your skills:

Proven work experience as a solution architect or similar role.
Strong organizational, negotiation and lateral leadership skills.
Ability to create technical strategy aligned with business needs and bring it into reality.
Strong knowledge of a diversity of programming paradigms/languages and applications.
Experienced with highly scalable systems based on Kubernetes.
Experienced with SRE best practices.
Experienced with Cloud and SaaS platforms. Ideally deep AWS knowledge.
Experience with migrating from monolith to microservices architecture or similar big migration projects.
Efficient communication, mentoring and teaching skills: you know how to lead and facilitate architecture workshops & training for both techies and non-techies.

About the job

We are looking for an experienced solution architect who will work with our engineering teams (located in Porto, Portugal and Vienna, Austria) to build a first-class product on a solid technical platform.

We are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position due to legal requirements in Austria. Our salary range for this position is starting at 50.000 €. Be sure that our final offer will be a competitive market value-based salary which is based on your experience and qualifications. We will talk about your salary in Person.
