Then come and join our global team as Lead System Engineer (f/m/d) – Advanced Therapies mobile C-arms, and use your system expertise to act as a contact person for our specialist departments and facilitate technical decisions for cross-system topics.
Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:

Working with product management, project management and system architects, you will design new products and solutions for image-guided surgery in our Advanced Therapies (AT) – mobile C-arms business area
You will have technical responsibility at overall system level within the corresponding development projects and will support project management in particular with regard to quality, costs and deadlines
Together with product management you will analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical requirements
You will coordinate and drive forward technical clarifications for a project (including identifying dependencies and drawing up solutions) and will represent overall system aspects in creating and prioritizing the project backlog
You will be responsible for and will coordinate the creation of system functional specifications in line with product requirements, including with regard to sustainable reusability (modules)
You will be responsible for and will coordinate integration at system level and will work closely with test management
You will coordinate and drive forward the preparation of measures to ensure the required system stability and performance
You will identify potential synergies together with our development sites and partners in Germany, Spain, India and China

Your qualifications and experience:

You have a master's degree in IT, engineering or physics or a comparable discipline
You have several years of relevant professional experience in developing complex medical technology systems and are very familiar with the corresponding approval processes
You have several years of functional management experience relating to interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, preferably in the development environment
You have experience of working with external and/or international development partners
You are familiar with development approaches such as agile and lean development or you have personally implemented them with successful outcomes
You have methodological expertise of requirements engineering, system analysis, FME(C)A / FTAs, structured problem solving, etc.
Knowledge of medical workflows in the surgical environment and the use of mobile C-arms in this environment would be an advantage

Your attributes and skills:

You have a very good knowledge of English and German, enabling you to operate successfully in our international environment
You have gained intercultural experience, for example with teams in China or India, and are therefore able to optimize the way you collaborate with international colleagues
You have excellent communication and analysis skills
You have a passion for healthcare and want to help us shape the healthcare sector of the future: You are enthusiastic and find it easy to motivate your colleagues
