Location/Division Specific Information

In Germering, we have been setting crucial and innovative trends for many years in the development and marketing of software for chemical analysis laboratories. Our chromatography data system Chromeleon enables chemists in most laboratories around the world in any industry to perform high throughput analysis of chemical samples. From quality control in pharmaceutical laboratories to chemical analyses to doping controls at major international sports events, our software plays a meaningful role. As digitalization is expanding tremendously in the world of science and in Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our growing team of highly qualified employees.

Discover Impactful Work:

Our software development department is responsible for new product development and maintenance to support exciting customer requirements, as well as to control hundreds of highly sophisticated chromatography instruments and components. This group works closely with the product development teams from instrument business units, as well as with marketing, support and field service teams. We and our partners have high expectations on quality and timely results.

A day in the Life:

Crafting solutions and implementing these with local or abroad teams
Collaborating with peers in development and product management to define architecture
Being a valuable team member of an Agile Scrum team, focused on connectivity, infrastructure, and delivery of our chromatography data system

Keys to Success:

Education

University education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in computer science or similar

Experience

Excellent knowledge in front end web development (Vue.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, Stencil, JavaScript)
Good understanding of Restful Web APIs (Asp .NET
Experience with Agile software methodology (Scrum).
Experience in Cloud technologies and Cloud architecture is a plus
Proficient in German and English

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

High-level abstract thinking and excellent analytical skills
Willingness to learn new technologies and share these with the team
A structured and creative way of working in a local and global setting
Shown experience in designing and developing UX solutions for complex requirements
