Purpose
As part of our data team you will enable teams at Shpock to consume and build effective products based on trustworthy data.
Your mission

Use your expertise to implement our data strategy and big data management approach
Ensure uninterrupted and timely data availability, while using the resources efficiently
Ensure correctness of data in all stages of the data-processing/-preparation pipeline
Responsible for the continuous optimization, development and scaling of data warehouse processes and applications
Guarantee the integration of internal and external data sources into our data warehouse
Define and implement data quality assurance methods
With your technical skills and knowledge you support various teams in getting access to the data they need
Generate information and insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns
Prepare reports for executive and project teams
Create visualisations of data

Who you will work with

Work with Shpock leadership team - you will report directly to CTO and support our COO
Work with product team - you will work intensively with our international product and data team

Your profile

2+ years experience in a Data Engineer role or similar position
Experience with SQL and management of relational databases
Experience with Python, JavaScript and Apache Airflow
Experience working with 3rd party APIs (Facebook, Google, AWS...)
Experience in working with Linux Environment
Experience in schema design and dimensional data modelling
Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing
Strong strategic, analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Fluent in English

Austrian law requires us to post the minimum salary according to the collective agreement. This is EUR 50.000,- gross per year. We offer a market conform salary in line with your qualifications and experience. We will treat your application in strict confidence.
