The role's impact
The Languages Team at a renowned company is seeking a dedicated TypeScript Developer to work on the JavaScript/TypeScript analyzer. This analyzer is part of the company's widely-used static code analysis tools and powers JS/TS analysis in their IDE plugin. The core of the analyzer is an open-source project.
By joining the JavaScript/TypeScript team, you'll be part of a self-sufficient team where you and your colleagues determine project priorities. You'll enjoy the challenge of analyzing one of the world's most popular languages.
Your daily tasks will include:
Developing and maintaining the JavaScript/TypeScript code analyzer
Exploring the language and determining best practices
Improving the way our analyzers comprehend code through better models and rules
Collaborating with the ESLint-based front-end and contributing to the linter
Improving the code quality and security for global developers
Setting short and long-term team goals
Being part of a team that prioritizes continuous integration and user experience
Skills required:
JavaScript/TypeScript development experience to understand end-user context
Expertise in maintainable, secure, performant, and testable code practices
Willingness to learn Java for integration with other components
Curiosity and eagerness to learn about JS/TS details
Boldness and self-confidence to challenge the status quo, with humility to accept challenges
No prior knowledge of static code analysis required; it will be learned on the job
