Application and Data Engineer (m/w/d)DEIF is a globally recognised leader in developing advanced retrofit control solutions for wind turbines. Utilising state-of-the-art technology, we aim to enhance the performance of existing wind turbines for our global customer base. Over the next few years, our goal is to expand our customer base in the wind energy sector and, in this way, contribute to accelerating the green transition. Our international Wind Team is placed in Skive (headquarters), Odense, Silkeborg, Rensburg (Germany), and Klagenfurt (Austria) and now we are looking for an Application and Data Engineer to join the team. Right now, we are looking for a new Application and Data Engineer for our Wind turbine team As our new Application and Data Engineer, you will be part of our Wind Team, which consists of skilled and experienced application developers. The team is responsible for providing retrofit solutions for various wind turbine types and ensuring optimal performance through continuous data analytics and software improvement. Your primary focus will be on developing new wind turbine applications and contributing to the development of new data analytics solutions in our cloud environment. Within the role, you will · Design, implement and test control code for wind turbines · Test full wind turbine retrofit solutions in the lab, factory, and on site · Prepare documentation and training in our cloud environment · Develop data apps for automating existing workflows Application Engineer with an open mind and a can-do spirit As a person, you are open-minded and comfortable with working in an international team where the primary language is English. Furthermore, you must have a proactive approach to your work and good communication skills, as the position requires coordination in the team. Youd be a perfect match for this role if you have · A bachelor´s or master´s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field · Excellent problem solving for complex systems and critical thinking skills · Programming experience in C/C++, PLC structured text or similar · An understanding of and can read electrical design schematics · Basic interest in data science and data engineering · Ability to work in heights · Willingness to travel approximately 10% of your time to various international locations Its a plus if you have · Experience with Python/Go and related data science frameworks · Experience with HTML, Java-Script and CSS · Familiarity with AWS services Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EC2 · Hands-on experience in working with electrical installations · Experience with wind turbines, power systems, or other renewables At DEIF, we are Winning Together!
