My duties
Responding to and owning issues and analysing them at the 1st and 2nd levels for eventual closure, documenting cause and resolution
Gathering requests, questions and incidents and defining their priority in respect to other outstanding issues and management requirements
Producing and updating technical documentation and procedures relating to the team’s responsibilities
Assisting traders in the test phase of software implementation and upgrades
Coordinating and performing installation and configuration of trading systems to meet the client’s specific needs
Working together with various departments such as corporate IT, Risk Office, etc.
Working with vendors, brokers and exchanges to ensure the most appropriate solutions for the trading room as well as coordinating upgrades of existing systems
Being involved in cross-disciplinary business projects on specific topics
My qualifications
Excellent command of Java technology, SQL, HTML, UNIX, FIX Protocol. Skilled user of the BROADBRIDGE suite
Well-founded experience in application support on a level 1 and level 2 support desk, ideally in a trading room
In-depth knowledge of forex and the various financial risks
Good knowledge of the banking industry and operations
Proven ability to manage stress and be a team player as well as being able to work independently
Analytical and with problem-solving skills
Irreproachable sense of client service vis-à-vis the trading room, given the time-sensitive nature of the activity as well as the various risks present
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both French and English
