University Assistant (prae doc)
at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Department of Pharmaceutical Science intends to gain additional expertise on chemoinformatics and computer-assisted molecular modeling based analysis of potential drug candidates and has an open praeDoc position for a scientist with expertise in these fields. We are a young and commited team and offer a creative working atmosphere, flexible working times and a suitable starting salary.
The employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.
Duration of employment: 4 year/s
Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week
Job grading in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: §48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc) with relevant work experience determining the assignment to a particular salary grade.
Job Description:
Active engagement in research, teaching and administration at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science, especially in the area of computer-assisted molecular design. Furthermore we expect your collaboration in already ongoing projects in the team. We expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months. - Participation in teaching and independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement
Profile:
Master/Diploma in natural sciences or equivalent qualification
Additional skills: Solid knowledge base in computer-assisted molecular modeling, molecular dynamics, chemoinformatics, free energy bills, "QML Potentials" and in programming of computers (Python, Java; Linux).
