Explore, develop, and deploy novel hardware & software features for the current and future DRBPM UAV platform
Integrate, test, and validate new UAV sensors and cameras
Be responsible to prepare test procedures, to validate the functionality of each sensor firmware as well as the whole system functionality, flight simulation testing as well as field testing
Perform field test flights for assessment of the developed UAS (Drone piloting skills required)
Participate in demo projects for further assessment of the stability and functionality of current and future DRBPM UAV platform
Design prototypes for DRBPM UAV payload & Rapid prototyping via 3D printing

Qualifikationen
Understanding UAV electronics and multi-copter development as well as principle of operation
UAV piloting skills and a license
CAD Design & Rapid prototyping via 3D printing
Possession of strong problem-solving skills, curious, resourceful and agile mindset
Good written and spoken English is required, as this is the corporate working language

Erfahrung
Industry experience in developing UAVs/ robotics using C/C++, Python and Linux
Experience with flight control systems such as PX4 flight stack / QGroundcontrol / Ardupilot flight stack, Dronecode SDK, MAVLink communication protocol, as well as low level communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)

Ausbildung
University Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/ Robotics/ Embedded systems/ Electrical engineering / Mechanical engineering or other related university degree
