Who we are
Committed Agile DevOps team which is fully and autonomously responsible for our applications from code to production
Highly motivated multi-location and multi-lingual team with both Cobol and Java applications
We are part of the Frontoffice department that is responsible for the design, development and processing of the real-time payment applications of Worldline
Our services do not know such a thing as downtime, high availability is in our blood
We work on services under high constraints (speed, high availability, integrity, robustness, quality)
We are Worldline, one of the largest payment providers in the world
What we do
We build, run and maintain the applications and services that deal with the card issuing needs of our customers; the Swiss and Austrian banks (approx. 20 million cards)
We implement new features and follow the latest business market evolutions
We take ownership 24/7, and when necessary of productive problems and releases
We always improve on our continuous delivery pipeline as well as on our deployment infrastructure and our internal processes
Who we are looking for
A proactive, resourceful, experienced computer science engineer with excellent knowledge in Java, SQL, Web (frontend & backend), Angular, Quarcus - Spring & Hibernate is a plus
Most importantly, an Agile believer, willing to actively participate in the team’s life and activities
A developer, who is also not afraid to operate or test applications, nor to work on maintenance tasks. Willing to embrace a full DevOps mode.
Content to work on legacy programs, optimize and refactor them (code reviews)
Willing to take application ownership, work under high pressure and production constraints. Will eventually be on-call for production support about a week every few months.
Knowledge in Git, Docker, Maven, Jenkins, Tomcat, Cobol, apache cocoon and/or HP Nonstop and/or basic bash knowledge would be a plus
Willing to learn, grow and broaden horizons, not only technically but also within Card Management and payments business
Proficiency in English (written and spoken), German or French would be beneficial
