Backend Software Engineer for Computer Vision Team
Sportradar, a global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data for hundreds of business customers around the world, seeks a talented Backend Software Engineer to join our diverse, highly skilled and super enthusiastic Computer Vision Team, supporting the team in bringing complex computer vision software solutions to production.
About the role

You will be part of the bigger, cross-functional team, with a common mission to develop innovative computer vision systems key to our future. Are you ready for this new challenge?
Some of the ongoing projects you will be involved are:
Design, develop and maintain software solutions that enable us to deploy complex computer vision and AI systems in production, in the cloud or on-premise
You will be developing software solutions for these systems, including databases, API-s, tools and services as well as support designing the software architecture of such tools and services.
Use your software engineering expertise to propose software solutions, based on requirements, that will help the team deliver quickly and efficiently.
THE CHALLENGE:
Design, build, test, and deploy backend services that are part of a larger distributed ecosystem
Improve the reliability and efficiency of our backend stack
Writing clean, scalable & efficient code
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
Building reusable code libraries for future use
Designing and implementing APIs
Optimizing performance of applications for full scale production deployments
Providing code documentation and other inputs to technical documents
Participating in code reviews
Troubleshooting and debugging to optimise performance
YOUR SKILLS:
Good knowledge of backend technologies and a passion for writing quality code;
Proficient in Python; Experience with other languages will be considered a plus;
Experience working with databases; SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL (MongoDB), KeyValue (Redis);
Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ)
Experience with concurrence applications (asyncio, multithreading, multiprocessing).
Experience with modern frameworks(FastApi).
Experience in javascript, typescript, Angular, React is a plus;
Experience in the machine learning environment is a plus;
Experience with cloud services such as AWS is a plus;
Comfortable with modern software development methodologies such as agile development, Git, code review, etc;
Autonomous, creative, and a team player;
Fluent in English (written and spoken);
Wilingness to learn new technologies;
Ability to work with the team across multiple locations;
Software engineering skills and aptitude for software design;
