THE ROLE:
At Sportradar we've experienced a period of sustained hypergrowth due to a highly focused strategy. One of the cornerstones of this success is our streaming services for 150+ betting and media companies across the globe delivering an un-matched amount of LIVE sports events. Being part of Sportradar Audiovisual (AV) tribe, your contribution will ensure the continuation of this trajectory. Working as a part of the AudioVisual Tribe, the Senior Software Engineer - Live Channel Products (m/f/d) will be responsible for applications with the team members in other locations (Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Germany and Norway).
Most of the team's daily tasks involve working with new technologies, like: PHP8/Go, Symfony, React, TypeScript, MySQL (Aurora), Redis (ElastiCache), RabbitMQ (AmazonMQ), gRPC, REST API, GraphQL, k8s, Helm, AWS, Docker, Gitlab CI/CD, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, NewRelic, SonarQube, WhiteSource (Mend) and more...
We care about code quality, so get ready for code reviews and writing tests. Our projects have extensive documentation on Confluence. We organize our work with Jira.
THE CHALLENGE:
Build stable, efficient, testable, and reusable code for internal and customer-facing applications - our team develops 4 applications using different technology stack (frotend and backend)
Take an active part in all aspects of the development process – we work in SCRUM
Contribute into design decisions, implementation, planning, refactoring, and code reviews - you have a real influence on our products
Coordinate with Engineers, Architects and QA to improve delivery and provide the best quality
Support other team members - be proactive and take ownership as a Senior Engineer!
YOUR PROFILE:
REQUIRED:
Working experience with either PHP/Symfony (4+ years) or Go (3+ years)
Good knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle)
Familiarity with web APIs (REST / gRPC / GraphQL)
Strong technical background with experience in software development, system architecture or other technical domains.
PREFERRED SKILLS OR WHAT YOU CAN DEVELOP WITH US:
At least one year of experience in frontend technologies and willingness to work with React / TypeScript
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline (GitLab), Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Helm
Knowledge of (or interest in learning) modern software system observability stack e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, New Relic
Experience with microservices architecture
Practice TDD and pair programming
Knowledge of Protocol Buffers, gRPC and Websockets

The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
